The Killing of Civilians by the Russian Army in the City of Avdiivka

Avdiivka (a city that is on the front line and has fully felt the consequences of Russian aggression from the very beginning of the war), is a suburb of Donetsk (it has had the status of a front line city for 8 years). Russian terrorists appeared in Avdiivka back in April 2014, held a fake 'referendum' in the town, declared it a part of the so-called 'DNR', but a few months later the Armed Forces liberated the town. During July-August 2022, the hottest spot in Donbas was right here.

Let me remind you that more than 35 thousand residents lived in Avdiivka before the Russian invasion. 8 years later, about 2 thousand remained in the town, and the city continues to lose its residents. Thus, on the morning of October 12, the RF’s occupying forces attacked the town of Avdiivka using Grad MRLS.

“The shells hit the local market. As a result of the shelling, seven local residents died — 6 women and 1 man. Another 12 civilians were injured of varying degrees of severity. The infrastructure of the market, adjacent buildings and apartment buildings were also damaged,” the Office of the Prosecutor General said in a statement, “criminal proceedings have been initiated for violation of the laws and customs of war.”

In general, the 'laws and customs of war' are not about Moscow at all (these definitions have no meaning for a terrorist state). Russia is Number One terrorist country in the world, and its army seeks to shed as much Ukrainian blood as possible, to cause death and destruction. Its 'tricolor' brings evil, fear, suffering and hatred not only to Ukraine, but almost to the entire world.

It is obvious that the Russian army deliberately launched a rocket attack in the daytime on the city market, when there were many people there. Such tactics as intimidation, destruction and murder, are chosen by the Kremlin to continue the war in Ukraine.

Since October 10, Russia has been ruthlessly conducting 'indiscriminate' shelling of Ukrainian cities and, apparently, does not intend to stop the crimes. Thus, as a result of a massive enemy missile attack on the morning of that day, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged in eight regions and in the capital of Ukraine (a total of 11 important facilities). The number of victims of rocket attacks in Ukraine is 19 people, 97 people were injured.

From the morning of October 11 until lunchtime, an air alert continued in Ukraine, people were hiding in shelters. The Rushists, as the day before, not sparing their 'high-precision weapons', shelled Ukrainian cities and villages in Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. Russian troops have two targets – energy facilities throughout the country and people, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted.

From October 10 to 11, Russian rockets killed 23 people, more than 100 were injured of varying degrees of severity: Dnipropetrovsk region – 4 dead, 21 wounded; Donetsk region – 6 dead, 8 wounded; Zaporizhzhia region – 5 dead, 8 wounded; Kyiv region – 1 dead, 9 wounded; Sumy region – 2 wounded; Kharkiv region – 1 wounded; Kherson region – 1 wounded; Cherkasy region – 1 wounded; Kyiv city – 7 dead, 49 wounded. So the long-suffering Avdiivka once again suffered from the 'liberators'.

Indifferent people in different countries of the world are amazed by the news from Ukraine. Even Pope Francis condemned Russia's 'ruthlessly bombing' of Ukrainian cities and called on those who have the fate of the war in their hands to stop: “My heart always goes out to the people of Ukraine, especially to those who live in places that are subject to continuous and merciless bombardment,” Francis said in St. Peter's Square in Rome.

Western countries are discussing ways to provide Ukraine with additional air defense to protect against 'indiscriminate' Russian missile attacks throughout the country (statement of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on October 12 at the beginning of a two-day meeting of the alliance's defense ministers in the Rammstein format in Brussels). At the same time, Putin, having confirmed the mission of missile strikes on civilian infrastructure, threatens new ones. Pursuing the goal of the empire, he paves the way to this goal with the corpses of Ukrainians and soldiers of his army, and he will stop at nothing.

Mass attacks on Ukraine on October 10-11 cost Russia fabulous money. The aggressor country used long-range missiles, which it lacks, but did not change the course of the war. The British Reuters reported with reference to Western military analysts.

It would seem that it is time for the speaker of the 'great Russia' to stop and at least think about the reasons for the total destruction of the entire nation of Ukrainians, for whom independence is the meaning of life… But dreaming is a waste of time here, the maniacal ideas of Putin's regime will continue to be implemented with particular cruelty. Only the common efforts of the entire civilized world can stop an inhuman 'Russian world'.
